Transfer Batch
The Transfer Batch page lets you move inventory from an existing batch into a new batch for another component. Use it when material needs to be transferred and tracked as a new batch.
Navigation
Go to Inventory Batches > Transfer Batch.
Step 1: Choose the source batch and destination component
First, search for the batch you want to transfer from. Then choose the component you want to transfer the inventory to. When both are selected, continue to the next step.
Step 2: Add the containers and amounts
The second screen shows the current batch details and a list of containers that can be transferred. Choose a container, enter the amount to move, and add it to the transfer list. Repeat until all needed containers are listed.
How to transfer a batch
- Search for the source batch
Enter the batch ID you want to transfer from.
- Choose the destination component
Select the component that should receive the new batch.
- Go to the next step
Continue to the detail page after both selections are made.
- Select a container
Choose one of the available containers from the source batch.
- Enter the amount
Type the amount to transfer from that container.
- Add the container
Click Add Container to add it to the transfer list.
- Create the new batch
Submit the form to create the new batch and complete the transfer.
- Print the new sticker
After the transfer is complete, the system prints the new batch sticker.
The amount entered for each container must be greater than zero and cannot exceed the amount available in that container.
