Manufacturers
The Manufacturers configuration page is used to create and manage manufacturers in Virtual Ops. Manufacturers are associated with components, used when receiving or editing batches, and can be used to restrict quotes and orders to specific manufacturers when attaching inventory.
Navigation
Go to Administration > Configuration > Manufacturers.
Overview
Manufacturers are the creators of components, including ingredients and materials, in your system. They are not the same as vendors. Manufacturers supply vendors, and vendors distribute the components.
Manufacturer listings are associated with components and are used when receiving batches or editing a batch.
Manufacturers can be used to restrict quotes and orders to specific manufacturers when attaching inventory. For more information about managing restrictions for components on an order, click here.
Using the Manufacturers Grid
The Manufacturers grid lists all manufacturers currently available in the system. Entries can be sorted by clicking column titles, using the search function, or filtering by additional options.
