Edit MMR Blends

The Edit MMR page is used to review and update the blend, sieve, and note details for an order's Master Manufacturing Record. Use it to organize ingredients into blends and sub-blends before production records are created or updated.

Where to Find It

Open Production > View Orders, open the order, then use the MMR area to edit or set up blends and sieves. The blend editor opens the Edit MMR page.

Permission Needed

You need the Edit MMR permission to change blends. Without that permission, the page displays a message and opens in read-only mode.

Edit MMR Tabs

B

Build and reorder the main blend, sub-blends, ingredients, mix time, speed, and percentage details.

S

Sieves

Review or select sieve size information for ingredients that require sieve details.

N

Notes

Review MMR notes that should be available with the production instructions.

How to Create a Sub-Blend

  1. Click Edit Blends

This turns on editing controls for the Blends tab.

  2. Select blend items

Check at least two ingredients or existing blend items that should be grouped together.

  3. Click Add Sub-Blend

The Add Sub-Blend window opens with the selected items included.

  4. Name the sub-blend

Enter a clear name that production users will recognize.

  5. Review the item list

Drag items to reorder them, remove items that do not belong, or use Add Item to add another available ingredient or blend item.

  6. Set minutes and speed

Enter the blend minutes and, when needed, enter the speed and speed unit. Speed units can be RPM or Hertz.

  7. Add notes if needed

Open the Notes tab in the sub-blend window to record blend-specific instructions.

  8. Save the sub-blend

Click Save in the sub-blend window, then click Save MMR on the main Edit MMR toolbar.

Nested Sub-Blends

Sub-blends can contain other sub-blends when the selected items share the same parent blend level. Nested sub-blends are collapsed until clicked, which makes large MMRs easier to review.

Click a collapsed sub-blend row to view its details. Click the expanded sub-blend header to collapse it again.

Blend Timing and Speed

The footer of the Blends tab shows grams per serving, grams per batch, master blend minutes, and master blend speed. Each sub-blend also has its own mix time, speed, item count, and notes.

Before the MMR can be saved, the master mix time and each sub-blend mix time must be filled in. If speed is entered, it must be a valid number and must include a speed unit.

Editing Existing Blends

Use the available blend controls to edit, duplicate, remove, reorder, or add notes to sub-blends. The page recalculates available percentages as blend items are grouped or removed.

Saving changes to blends or sieves creates an updated MMR version. Existing production records created from an earlier MMR version may need to be reviewed.
