MFG/EXP Types

The MFG/EXP Types configuration page allows you to create and edit manufacturing and expiration date formats for your system. Once created, these types can be selected for future production.

Go to Administration > Configuration > MFG/EXP Types.

Overview

During the manufacturing process, manufacturing and expiration dates need to be selected and applied. Depending on the ingredients used or the product being produced, these expiration dates may vary.

The MFG/EXP Types section lets you manage the available date formats that can be used on future production.

Using the MFG/EXP Types Grid

The grid lists all MFG/EXP types currently available in the system. Entries can be sorted by clicking column titles, using the search function, or filtering by additional options.

Format Examples

BB:DD/MM/YY

Example format for a 1-year date type.

BB: MMM/YYYY

Example format for a 2-year date type.

BB:MM/YYYY

Example format for a 3-year date type.

EXP MM/DD/YY

Example format for a 3-year expiration date type.

Grid Action Buttons

Add New

Adds a new MFG/EXP type entry to the system.

Edit

Opens the selected row so you can edit the MFG/EXP type entry.

Column Visibility

Changes the visible columns for the current grid. These selections are saved per user, browser, and grid.

Excel

Exports the currently displayed grid data to Excel.

How to Create an MFG/EXP Type

  1. Start a new entry

    Click the Add New action button at the top of the grid.

  2. Enter the naming convention

    Enter the MFG/EXP naming convention into the name input field.

  3. Add the entry

    Click the Add button at the bottom to complete the process.

Entries Cannot Be Deleted

Once an MFG/EXP type is created, it cannot be deleted. It can be set to inactive instead.

How to Set an Entry Inactive

  1. Select the entry

    Click the entry row in the grid.

  2. Open the edit window

    Click the Edit action button above the grid.

  3. Change the status

    In the next window, set the status to inactive.
