Components Section
Use the Components section to add components to the quote by selecting a component type, component ID, and percentage from the dropdown boxes at the top of the section, then clicking the Add Component button.
The Components Needed button displays components that may be missing from the quote. These items are predetermined during setup to help identify typical components needed by job type. They are not required for the job, but they can provide a quick visual guide to possible missing components.
You can sort components by clicking and dragging the row using the triple bars on the far left of the row.
See the Glossary of Terms for more information on components.
Vendor and Manufacturer Restrictions
Click the More text link in an expanded component row to display component details such as pricing, allergens, certifications, special care, restrictions, and notes. After the component is expanded, click the Manage Restrictions button to set vendor and manufacturer restrictions.
Restrictions allow you to specify vendors for batches that can be used on an order from the quote. Multiple restriction combinations can be created for each component. This is often used when a customer requires specific ingredient sourcing or when the quote must stay within predetermined certifications such as Vegan, Kosher, or Organic.
How to Add Restrictions
- Expand the component
Click the More link in the component row to display the expanded component details.
- Open restrictions
Click the Manage Restrictions button within the component.
- Select vendor and manufacturer
Select a specific vendor from the left dropdown or set it to All. Do the same for the Manufacturer dropdown on the right.
- Add the restriction
Click the green Add button to finalize the entry.
- Review or delete entries
Created restrictions appear at the bottom of the restrictions pop-up window and can be deleted. They also display in the expanded More section for the component.
- Close the window
After adding or modifying restrictions, click the Close button in the bottom right to exit the window.
Ingredients Section
Use the Ingredients section to add ingredients to the quote by selecting an ingredient from the dropdown, entering an Elemental Amount, and clicking the Add Ingredient button at the top of the section.
You can sort ingredients by clicking and dragging the row using the triple bars on the far left of the row.
Vendor and manufacturer restrictions for components are covered in the restrictions section. Click here to jump to that information.
Tablet Quote Details
For a tablet job, choose a Tablet Punch, enter the Hardness Target (kP), and specify the minimum and maximum Hardness Range (kP). Punch choices are maintained in Tablet Punches. Review these values before saving the quote.
Finished Goods on Quotes
Use the Finished Goods section for finished goods included in the formula. Review the quantity and displayed unit for each row. Finished goods are kept separate from the Ingredients and Components sections.
The finished good links to its source quote through Product ID. Receiving units come from the finished-good setup. See Manage Finished Goods.
Use the row drag handles to arrange entries in the editor, then save the quote. Review Product ID and Customer Product ID where shown so the product can be identified through orders and production.
