Manage Finished Goods

Create and manage finished goods that can be received into inventory and used in other production orders.

Where to Find It

Go to Inventory > Finished Goods > Manage.

Review Finished Goods

The grid shows Product ID, On Hand, Committed, Available, and Locked quantities. Select a row and choose Edit, View Orders, or View Quote. Use Column Visibility to choose columns and Excel to export them.

Add or Edit a Finished Good

  1. Choose Add New, or select an existing item and choose Edit.
  2. Enter the name, supplying customer, status, and receiving unit. For a finished good, enter a Product ID that links to an active quote. Another finished good cannot use the same Product ID.
  3. Review the details, files, and any configured Lab Testing requirements, then choose Save Component.

Choose the Receiving Unit carefully when creating the item. After creation, it is displayed for reference and cannot be changed in this window.

Receiving and Costs

Use Receive Finished Goods to add inventory from a BPR. Use Finished Goods Batches to review individual batches.

Batch value is based on the source BPR cost per unit and quantity received. Finalizing production updates the related batch costs and the finished good average cost using the value and remaining quantity of eligible batches from finalized production.

Production and Testing

Finished goods can be selected separately from ingredients and packaging on quotes and BPRs. See Finished Goods on Quotes. For production sample and test status, see Finished Goods Quarantine.
