Batch Exception
The Batch Exception page is used when you need to add or remove inventory from a batch container, or transfer the exception to another batch container. It helps document the reason for the change and keeps the batch history up to date.
Navigation
Go to Inventory Batches > Batch Exception, or open it from the Add Exception action on a batch.
What you can do on this page
You can choose an exception category, select one or more containers, enter the amount to add or remove, and record the reason. Depending on the category, you can also connect the exception to a BPR, a cycle count, or another batch container.
Exception categories
BPR
Links the exception to a BPR by selecting a BPR ID.
Cycle Count
Links the exception to a cycle count record.
Transfer
Links the exception to another batch container when inventory is being moved.

Closing a batch
If the batch needs to be closed, the page also includes a Close Batch option. Use that only when the batch should be reduced to zero and taken out of active use.
The page expects a clear reason for the exception before the change is submitted.
